All new clients are required to do a meet and greet with each sitter they book with, before first service with that sitter. Meet and greet appointments range from 20 minutes to an hour and are done in person.
All new clients must also create an account with PetPocketBook to be able to fill out new client forms via DocuSign and to schedule appointments. The account can be created for you by sending the following to Lianna at apbfpetcare@gmail.com or texting it to 916-430-1350:
- First and Last Name
- Email Address
- Home Address
- Phone Number
- Pet Names and Pet Types (dog, cat, lizard, etc.)
Overnights & Extended Drop In Services:
Please give 7 day notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your booking. Less than 7 days notice will incur a fee of 50% of the service rate. Less than 48 hour notice will incur a fee of 100% of the service rate.
30min/1hr Walk and Drop In Services or Poop’N’Scoop Services:
Please give 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your booking. Less than 48 hour notice will incur a fee of 50% of the service rate. Same Day cancellation will incur a fee of 100% of the service rate.
*Please note that if a sitter/scooper arrives for a service and cannot complete the service due to an on-the-spot cancellation, not being able to access the house or yard (locked gate, no key left for them, etc), dogs left in yard preventing a scooping service, etc., 100% of the service rate will be charged.
During pet care services (housesitting, drop ins or dog walking) we only clean up poop that is dropped during our visits.
If you’d like any pre-existing poop cleared from the yard, please look into our Poop’N’Scoop services. We do offer a bundle deal if you book a Poop’N’Scoop service to take place during the same visit as a pet care service!
All client information is confidential and will not be shared outside of A Pet’s Best Friend Pet Care. Client info will only be available to the sitter your service is booked with, and only the info that is relevant to that booking.
If you need a sitter to arrive before 8am or arrive/stay after 8pm, there will be an additional charge. For Overnights this would apply to the first and/or last day of the stay.
Overnights/Extended Drop In: $15 additional
30min/1hr Walks & Drop Ins: $7 additional
Services that take place on our listed holidays will have an additional charge.

Overnights & Extended Drop Ins: $20/day
Poop’N’Scoop: We do not do this service on holidays. If your normal service falls on a holiday, we will help you reschedule.
